My Microsoft Wireless Natural Ergonomic Keyboard and Mouse 7000 freeze randomly.
OS: Windows 7 64-bit
Drivers: Latest IntelliPoint IntelliType
Latest Intel chipset drivers for p6x58D premium mobo, and all USB drivers installed. All drivers are up to date.
Several other posters here are having the same problem. Their solutions have ranged from:
1) disabling USB power management (tried unsuccessful)
2) update drivers (done) update windows (done)

3) use non usb mouse (not an option)
Adobe finereader download. 4) DPC Latency (checked, no problems)
5) Uninstall USB Root Hub drivers, reboot to reinstall (doesn't work)
The only think I have left to suspect is that I had to plug in the mouse/keyboard before installing intellipoint/intellitype for the first time. Since I built the system from scratch, and have no other key/mouse, i needed something to click/press to do the installation of windows, and intellipoint/intellitype. Yes, the instructions on the microsoft set say to install software first.. is this likely the source of the problem? Should I hunt down a PS/2 mouse, reinstall all USB/mouse drivers?
